Atlanta Restorative Acupuncture
About the Center
The purpose of this healing and wellness center is to help as many people in our community as possible, utilizing primarily advanced Acupuncture techniques, customized Botanical formulas, and meditation instruction. We also offer both community and private treatment options depending on specific needs.
Our quest is to foster optimum health among our patients, to relieve their pain and suffering, and to educate them about the benefits of Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and meditation, so they may, in turn, educate others.
At Atlanta Restorative Acupuncture, we provide a number of different modalities to most efficiently treat your condition. We utilize advanced acupuncture techniques such as motor point needling which is highly effective for recalcitrant pain conditions and in many cases can produce quicker results than conventional acupuncture. We feel extremely fortunate to offer this technique to the greater Atlanta community as less than 1% of acupuncturists are trained in this state of the art technique.
About the Founder and CEO
David Blake Jones is the founder and CEO of MindBody Wellness Atlanta, LLC, the official name of the business associated with Atlanta Restorative Acupuncture. He has been a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist since 2000. He has been a certified meditation instructor since 2006. David was among the minority of test takers who passed the California Acupuncture licensing exam (widely considered to be the toughest exam in the nation) in 2000. To sit for that exam, David completed a four year medical school program in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles. He then gained certification in Acupuncture Orthopedics. In 2000, he also became a Diplomate of Acupuncture with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. In April of 2018, David earned his doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
David first practiced in Los Angeles, where he treated a wide range of patients, from injured workers to professionals, and helped people overcome a wide variety of health challenges, predominantly pain and stress related disorders. He is now licensed in the state of Georgia.
Prior to his move to Los Angeles, David earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Alabama School of Public Health. In that time period, David also cared for terminally ill patients via participation in the Americorps program and Birmingham AIDS Outreach.
David has studied medical pulse diagnosis under the tutelage of Bob Doane, who owns the the nation's largest Chinese Medicine clinic. He has also taken courses in motor and trigger point needling from experts such as Dr. Anthony Lombardi to better address the root cause of pain, and effectively and rapidly relieve pain and performance inhibiting conditions.
In his free time, David enjoys reading, music, meditation, cooking and physical fitness, and spending time with friends and family.
